6/16/08 Renewed NSF support. It's official. The National Science Foundation has renewed support for the Chicago-Chile Materials Collaboration for another four years at the requested level.
4/15/08 Chicago-Chile paper accepted in ScienceThis paper on the wrinkle-to-fold transition of thin sheets on a liquid surface begun as the internship project of Luka Pocivavsek with Prof. Cerda in Chile. It developed further in the group of Prof. Lee on Luka's return to Chicago with the help of Chile intern Sebastian Johnson. Congratulations, folks!

"...Anyhow, my work's been amazing, and have been working on a couple of programs. I'm close to simulating the forces that are at work on Elliott's experiment, though at times I feel rather stupid in a sense I need so much guidance/help from Rodrigo. I guess it's all good, as I'm learning lots. like lots."
