Application for JFI Travel Award to enable trainees to attend and present their research at a scientific conference. The award will be for $600 towards reimbursement of travel expenses (hotel & transportation) until funds run out. Applications for the forthcoming year will be considered starting 2/1.
Application Materials:

Provide a statement (no more than 500 words) describing how this specific conference fits into your professional development goals and the type of presentation you expect to give (e.g. poster or talk).

Anticipated travel budget, including an explanation of the source of other funds

A brief note from the advisor stating their support for your participation in the conference.
Eligibility & Selection Criteria:

Be a graduate student or post-doctoral trainee in the James Franck Institute at the time of application and travel.

Priority will be given to those who have not previously received an award.

Personal Statement, Budget, and Advisor Note will be the primary means of selection

Consideration will be made to distribute awards equitably across JFI groups. No more than two applications per group per year.
