My research focuses on understanding the complex phases and properties found in strongly correlated electron materials, such as unconventional superconductors and heavy fermion materials, and on identifying their microscopic origin. My second area of focus is researching nonequilibrium phenomena at the nanoscale, in particular nonequilibrium charge and energy transport in graphene, topological insulators, and light-harvesting biological complexes.
