The condensed matter theory group, via the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), is continuously recruiting outstanding candidates to join the group at the level of assistant to full professors. A strong record of academic accomplishments and a Ph.D degree in theoretical condensed matter physics or field theory is required. Exceptional candidates in a closely related field may also be considered. Successful candidates are expected to apply for research grants and be able to conduct independent research. The University will provide a competitive salary and associated benefits. Interested candidates are encouraged to apply directly by responding to the job ads by the University, or by contacting members of the group. Application materials include a CV with a list of publications, three representative papers, and a statement of research interests and plans.
Two or more post-doctoral research associate positions in condensed matter theory are available in my group. A Ph.D degree in the fields of theoretical condensed matter physics, or field theory is preferred. Exceptional candidates with a doctoral degree in a closely related field may also be considered. Successful candidates are expected to engage in research in many-body physics in the fields of cold atom physics, strongly correlated electron systems such as high Tc superconductivity, quantum critical phenomena as well as other closely related subjects. The University will provide a competitive salary and associated benefits. Interested candidates should send to me via email a CV, 2-3 representative papers, and arrange to have three letters of recommendation sent to me directly from your references.
One or two Ph.D student positions are available annually in the field of condensed matter theory in my group. Interested candidates are encouraged to apply or send inquiries to me. You are expected to send to me a copy of your undergraduate transcripts, a list of two references with contact information, and a statement of academic interests.
