The two excellent Chilean students now finishing their internships will be the last for now. Our request for renewal funding from the NSF was declined in early 2012. After considering several possibilities for continuing it within the UChicago MRSEC, it was decided that a pause in the program would be the best course. We look forward to a reincarnation of this successful and rewarding collaboration with our Chilean partners in the future.Tom Witten, Chicago co-ordinator
